I worked on Cabaret for the last project of my internship with Theresa Chan. I was in charge of all the costumes for 11 ensemble dancers for this show. What made the costumes for the ensemble even trickier to handle was that everyone had unique pieces and while all of them looked coherent with each other, everyone had different sets of accessories and pieces of clothing so it was hard to remember what belonged to who at first. Overtime, I memorised all the costume pieces for each dancer and this helped ease the process of checking that every dancer wore the correct costumes at a time. This show was the first time I had to work with so many people at one shot and while I wouldn’t describe myself as very extroverted, Cabaret served as a ground for learning and making new friendships. I made friends with some of the actors, stage management crew and hair team.
